Dr. Gary Poteet is a Wyoming native having grown up in Cheyenne and
Rawlins. Dr. Poteet began his education at Laramie County Community
College in Cheyenne then received his Bachelors degree in Exercise
Physiology at the University of Wyoming. Dr. Poteet then completed a
Masters degree in Exercise Physiology before completing his Doctorate
of Optometry from the University of Missouri in St. Louis. Dr. Poteet
was named a Fellow in the American Academy of Optometry and continues
to conduct research for many major contact lens companies. In
addition to his education Dr. Poteet has served the Wyoming Optometric
Association in all elected positions including president.
